C2 orders

Postby Gattaca » Jul 16, 7:50 pm

Hi
What will happen here:

1 C2 signals a limit open order. This order is reported by C2 as filled, but I was the last in the queue and got no fill. Later C2 sends a market close order. Will TB execute this order although I have no position.

2. Same situation as before, but I have a position in this security from another C2 system.

Thank you.

Hi,

1) no, but you should enable the feature "convert to market when C2 reports a fill after xx seconds" so you stay in sync with the system.

2) C2 does not know about manual positions. It will trade as if they do not exist. e.g. if the position was not created by a C2 signal order, C2 will not send the closing signal because it thinks you are flat even if you manually open the position.

.

You mean C2 will send it but TB will not execute it, if I haven't got a fill at the open order ?

No, I mean exactly how I wrote it: C2 won't send it at all. We designed it that way a long time ago with the idea of avoiding going short when the entry long signal was missed or did not execute for whatever reason. Sync didn't exist back then..
